Eligibility Requirements for OINP 2023

  • Have a permanent, full-time job offer in a skilled occupation (NOC levels 0, A, or B) from the employer who is also submitting an application. It is unnecessary to have a job offer in hand when applying for immigration to Ontario, Canada. However, it provides your application with a significant advantage to your application if you have one.   • To be accepted as a Candidate for Ontario Province Nominee Program, have a minimum qualification certificate/diploma as Eligibility for Ontario PNP.
  • Have experience in their occupational field as per program requirements.
  • Having a job offer letter from the employer for full-time or permanent employment.
  • Having a minimum language proficiency score in IELTS (6/7) or CLB (7).
  • Express Entry score- All applicants must have a Canada Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System score of 400 points or greater, and this score must remain throughout provincial and federal processing (only for those who will apply under Ontario Express Entry System).

1. Ontario Employer Job Offer

Ontario Employer Job Offer is for individuals who have job offers from an Ontario Employer. The individual should meet certain requirements to be eligible for this category. This category has three streams:

  1. Foreign Worker
  2. International Student with a Job Offer
  3. In-Demand Skills
  • A) Foreign Worker System
    This stream is designed for highly skilled foreign workers who want to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency. They should have prior work experience and a permanent full-time job offer from a Canadian employer. They need to have skill level NOC (0, A, or B). They should score CLB 7 in English if their NOC level is 0 or A., they should score CLB 4 in English if their NOC level is B.  the foreign national should have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the skill level NOC (0, A, or B).
  • B) International Student with a Job Offer
    The international students who have completed their education in Canada and if they have a job offer from an Ontario employer, they are eligible to apply for this stream. They should study at least a 2-year program in a Canadian institution. The student has a need to have a permanent job offer with National Occupational Classification (NOC) 0, A, or B.
  • C) Occupation In-Demand Skills
    This stream is mainly for foreign semi-skilled workers who have one of Ontario’s in-demand occupations. If they have a valid job offer from the Ontario employer, then they are eligible for this stream. They should have NOC level C or D. They should score CLB 4 in English.

2. Human Capital Category

Human Capital Category is for workers who possess valuable educational qualification, work experience, language proficiency, and a profile in Canada express entry pool.

  • A) French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
    Foreign nationals with required work experience, education, language proficiency either in English or French are eligible for this stream. This is an invite for the French-speaking people through the Express Entry pool. The individual has to demonstrate their proficiency in French and in English to get qualified for this stream. The foreign national should score CLB 7 in French and CLB 6 in English if he is applying for this stream.
  • B) Ontario’s Express Entry
    Ontario Express Entry stream operates in collaboration with the federal government’s Express Entry system. The individual should have a notification of interest from Ontario and their updated profile with their current work experience, language tests, and education in the federal government.
  • C) Human Capital Priorities Stream
    This stream is for skilled workers who have the required work experience, education, and language proficiency either in English or in French. It is one of the streams in the Human Capital category. This stream is operated by the province of Ontario. This stream has a merit-based system to nominated highly qualified skilled workers through the federal express entry pool.
  • D) Skilled Trades Stream
    This stream is one of the Human Capital streams of the Ontario PNP Program. It is operated by the province of Ontario. This stream is especially for workers who have work experience in Ontario in eligible trade occupations. The foreign national should have scored CLB 5 either in English or French. This stream proffers provincial nominations to skilled tradespeople who have active express entry profiles and presently living in Ontario.
  • E) Masters Graduate
    Masters Graduate is one of the streams in the Human Capital category of Ontario immigration. This stream is mainly for recent graduates with master’s degree, that is obtained from an eligible Ontario institution. This is mainly for graduates who have the intention to live and work in Ontario.
  • F) Ph.D. Graduates
    Ph.D. graduates are one of the streams in the Human Capital Category of Ontario Immigration. This stream is mainly for the graduates with a Ph.D. degree, that is obtained from an Ontario institution. If a Ph.D. graduate has the intention of living and working in Ontario, then they can apply for this stream.

3. Business Category
