What is Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score?
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a point-based system used by IRCC to assess your profile and rank it in the Express Entry pool. CRS is a ranking system that give ranks to express profiles in the pool. Higher ranked profiles are given ITAs (Invitation to Apply. ITA allows the candidate to submit their application for Canada PR Visa to Canada (IRCC) within 60 days of getting the ITA.
How CRS score is Calculated?
A CRS score is calculated for each candidate, which depends on many factors, including age, level of education, language proficiency, work experience, etc. It is a combination of a 1200 point. IRCC have rounds of invitation from Express Entry pool every after 15days or week. Your profile will be active in the pool for one year. If your CRS score is more than the others in the pool, then you will receive an ITA (Invitation to apply) and however, if your CRS score is less than other candidates, you will remain in the pool for the next round.

Minimum CRS score required as per Express Entry for the following people:
- With a spouse or common-law partner Maximum 460 points
- Without a spouse or common-law partner Maximum 500 points
How CRS points are allocated Under Express Entry pool?
Canada CRS points system is based on the four factors which is as below
Core / human capital + B. Spouse or common-law partner + C. Skill transferability factors + D. Additional points = Maximum 1,200 points

- Age
- Education
- Language Proficiency
- Canadian Work Experience
- Spouse/ Common-Law Partner Factor: This Factor is combination of qualification, Language, and work Experience of spouse or common-Law partner.
- Skill Transferability Factor: this includes the skill transferability of the main applicant in terms of Language, work experience and education in Canada.
- Additional Points: there are few additional factors, Applicant can gain bones points under those additional points like:
- French Language skill
- Education in Canada
- Siblings in Canada (Must have PR or citizenship)
- Nomination from any province
- Valid job offer letter from Canada
