Saskatchewan Immigration Nomination Program 2023 – SINP

The SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) is very important immigration program of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Applicants under the Saskatchewan PNP receive a Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Certificate allowing them to apply for Canadian permanent residency. This is process is very fast compared to other Canadian immigration programs in other provinces.   Successful applicants will receive a Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Certificate, which will speed-up the Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa application processing time. Under the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP), Candidate may qualify under one of eight streams. The SINP selects the candidates based on the criteria, i.e., education, experience, skills, etc. However, the criteria might get changed without intimation as per the province’s requirement and further applications can be processed based on the latest criteria. The program which is run by the provincial government, nominates selected candidates to the federal Canadian government, for permanent residency through the Express Entry program.

  1. International Skilled Worker Stream
  2. Saskatchewan Experience Stream
  3. Entrepreneur and Farm Stream
  1. International Skilled Worker – International skilled workers who meet the criteria can apply for being nominated through this category in order to live and work in the province of Saskatchewan. Applicants will have to meet all the eligibility requirements and have the factors that are necessary to settle successfully in the province. Applicants are measured based on a points system and can be nominated under one of three sub-categories.
  2. Saskatchewan Express Entry – The Express Entry Sub-Category of the SINP International Skilled Worker Category is for skilled workers that are in the candidate pool of Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s Express Entry system.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements for SINP

Candidates must fulfil the following minimum eligibility requirements for Saskatchewan Province nominee program:

  1. Score at least 60 points out of 100 on the point assessment grid.
  2. Legal documents validating resident status.
  3. Have proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan.
  4. Have work experience in a highly skilled occupation in the National Occupation Classification (NOC), o, A or B that’s in-demand in Saskatchewan.
  5. Have a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4.
  6. The program of study must have resulted in a degree, diploma, certificate, or a certificate equivalent to a trade certificate.
  7. Candidate must admit themselves into CIC Express Entry Pool.
  8. They must also get proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure if they regulate their profession in Saskatchewan and require mandatory (compulsory) licensing.
  9. Evidence of enough funds to settle in the province.
  1. Saskatchewan Employment Offer – The Employment Offer Sub-Category of the PNP Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker category is for skilled workers with a job offer from a qualified employer in the province.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the Saskatchewan INP point assessment grid
  • Minimum one years of work experience in the relevant occupation.
  • At least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4
  • Show proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure if the intended occupation is in a regulated profession or compulsory apprenticeship trade
  • Full-time job offers from a Saskatchewan employer.
  1. Saskatchewan Occupation in Demand – The Occupations In-Demand Sub-Category of the PNP Saskatchewan Skilled Worker category is for skilled workers who do not have a job offer in the province but who are highly skilled in an in-demand occupation.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program point assessment grid
  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4
  • Have completed post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship that’s comparable to the Canadian education system of at least one year in length. The candidate should have earned a diploma, certificate or degree during this time
  • At least one year of work experience in the last 10 years
  • Have proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan

2) Saskatchewan Experience Stream – This category is for foreign workers who are currently working and living in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit and would like to apply for permanent residency through the Saskatchewan INP. The Saskatchewan Experience Category is divided into the following subcategories:

  • Skilled Worker with Existing Work Permit;
  • Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker with Existing Work Permit;
  • Health Professionals;
  • Hospitality Sector Project;
  • Long-Haul Truck Driver Project; and
  • Students

3) Entrepreneur and Farm Category – Saskatchewan Entrepreneur and Farm is a collection of two immigration streams designed for individuals with business management experience who wish to launch a new business endeavour in Saskatchewan. The entrepreneurial stream is for general entrepreneurs with business proposals in a range of sectors, while the farm owner and operator stream are designed specifically for entrepreneurs in the farming sector.

  1. Entrepreneur Sub-Category – This category is for individuals hoping to have their own business in Saskatchewan. Applicants must take on an active managerial role in the business. Applications under this category are based on an Expression of Interest (EOI) system. The three steps leading up to nomination are as follows.
  • First candidates need to make an (EOI) to the Saskatchewan INP indicating that they are interested in owning or running a business in the province.
  • Second, if candidates are successful, based on a list of program requirements, they will receive an Invitation to Apply. Candidates who receive an invitation to apply have 20 business days to pay the $2,500 CAD processing fee and select a recognized third-party financial review service who will assess their net worth and proposed investment amount. A complete application must be submitted within 90 days of receiving the invitation to apply.
  • Third step is to apply for Province Nomination.

Eligibility for Entrepreneur program

  • Minimum Investment: $200,000 CAD
  • Minimum Personal Net Worth: $500,000 CAD
  • Minimum experience required is 3 years
  • No minimum education required.
  • No IELTS required
  • No job offer letter required.

 

  1. Farm Sub-Category – This category is for candidates who want to immigrate to Saskatchewan to buy and run a farm in the province. If the candidates are under 40 years old, they can be considered for nomination under the Young Farmer Stream. Eligibility for this stream is based on available equity, refundable cash deposit, a mandatory visit to Saskatchewan, farm operation knowledge and experience and a practical proposal for a commercial farming opportunity.

Eligibility for Farm Sub-Category

  • Applicant must have a minimum net worth of at least $500,000 CAD, or $300,000 CAD if the applicant qualifies under the SINP Young Farmer sub stream.
  • Applicants will be required to make a good faith deposit of $75,000 CAD prior to receiving their provincial nomination.
  • Experience in the Farm Operation.
  • Language proficiency not required.
  • Minimum Education not required.
